Race driver coaching programmes are based on improving driving skills and performance.

These programmes are made up of any or all of the following:

  • coaching at test days and track days
  • data analysis using data logging systems where available
  • in car video, analysis and feedback
  • support at qualifying and race days, pre event track analysis and race line advice
  • bespoke training which may involve use of skid cars or race driving school cars
  • liaison with racing teams to secure testing and/or race mechanical support services including or excluding hire of racing cars
  • liaison with teams/mechanics on car setup requirements

Payment

Full payment is required 14 days in advance to secure booking. Group rates and programme discounts may apply subject to bookings.

Using a client’s vehicle

The race car provided for testing, track days and race days should be in good mechanical condition, fully fitted and safe for use on a race circuit. If it is a race prepared car, it must comply fully with the appropriate regulations, contained or referred to within the MSA Yearbook.

Specific race circuits terms and conditions and those imposed by track day organisers and any reasonable instruction from an official of the race circuit or track day organiser must be adhered to.

Definitions

The plural means the singular and vice versa.

“Us” “We” and “Our” means Peter Snowdon.

“You” and “Your” means the party making the booking.

1. Booking

1.1 Contact us to make a booking via telephone, email or post.

1.2 First time clients are asked to pay for your tuition or development fees 14 days in advance of the event and the cancellation terms above apply.

2. Our obligations

2.1 Our instructors will provide instruction designed to improve your skills and enjoyment in the areas such as:

  • Correct steering
  • Positioning on track
  • Handling
  • Weight transfer
  • Braking
  • Oversteer/Understeer
  • Circuit driving techniques generally

2.2 Race craft tuition, in and out of car tuition and race weekend tuition is subject to availability. Please see our website calendar or contact us page for alternative dates and group bookings.

2.3 We provide bespoke programmes for those wishing to compete or are currently competing.

3. Your obligations

3.1 For safety reasons the follow and adhere to the instructions given to you by our instructors at all times. We reserve the right to cancel the event if this does not occur.

3.2 You will act and behave in a safe and responsible manner whenever you are in control of the car.

3.3 You are strongly advised to wear the appropriate protective clothing and safety equipment. This may be a prerequisite by track and race day officials over which we have minimal control. Their instruction and requirements must be met.

3.4 You are strongly advised to investigate and take out such track day insurance and other insurance cover as you deem appropriate to cover any injury or damage to either yourself or to your property. We do not provide this on your behalf.

3.5 Any car you supply for the tuition is in good and suitable mechanical condition. Our obligation to you is the same should we provide the car.

4. Payment

4.1 Our current tuition fee will be agreed when we confirm your booking.

4.2 In addition, we charge a mileage allowance to travel to and from the event venue from our UK office.

4.3 For tuition at overseas circuits/locations, full fee and expense details are provided upon application.

4.4 All circuit fees and disbursements are payable by you direct to the relevant track day organizer or included in our fees to you when confirmed to you.

5. Cancellations

5.1 In the event that you cancel any booking then please notify us as soon as possible. We will endeavor to replace your booking with a similar booking in which case we will forfeit any cancellation fees that you may have incurred. We also welcome the possibility of you yourself replacing any cancelled booking with an alternative and again will offset this against any cancellation fees you incur.

5.2 We will charge a cancellation fee if a cancellation takes place within the following periods prior to your booking:

5.2.1 Within 1 – 4 weeks 50% will apply.

5.2.2 Within 1 – 7 days 75% will apply.

5.3 In the unusual event that your allocated/nominated instructor is unavailable for your event we will endeavor to source an alternative ARDS qualified instructor or offer a refund of any tuition fee paid.

5.4 In the unusual event that the event is cancelled in advance due to bad weather, you will get a credit for what you have paid for, to be able to use on another day. No refunds shall be given.

5.5 In the unusual event that the event is cancelled on the day due to bad weather, we will make the decision on what credit shall be given, if any.

6. General

6.1 In the event that our instructors deem that you are demonstrating unsafe driving behaviour then our instructors reserve the absolute right to terminate your tuition immediately without reimbursement of any fees paid.

6.2 A person who is not a party to the contract between us and you will have no right to enforce any terms or conditions of the contract pursuant to the Contracts (Rights Against Third Parties) Act 1999

6.3 No alcohol or intoxicating drugs may be consumed 24 hours prior to or during instruction or tuition.
